Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria

Some universities offer admission through a direct method/management quota based on undergraduate grade point average. Admission is primarily determined by the results of the 10+2 or 10th exam. In addition, National Level Examinations such as the State University Entrance Test, NEET-PG, and others are held to gain admission to various Universities and Institutes. While some universities, such as JIPMER and CMC, have their own entrance exams, others do not. 

If a candidate wishes to pursue a Diploma in Anaesthesia, he or she must obtain a minimum aggregate score of 50% in 10+2 or even class 10. Candidates who have passed any equivalent exam from a recognized university are also eligible to apply. The eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the PG diploma of this course may differ. They must have obtained a 50% grade point average in their undergraduate MBBS/Pharma degree from a recognized university. In the tenth grade, there is a 5% reduction in the total aggregate score, i.e. 45% is sufficient for SC/ST students.
